Another successful holiday season has come and gone and from all the empty shelves, it looks like Shepard Moon made up a ton of holiday gifts. Or, to be precise…. it was more like 5 TONS. Holy cow! Now that's a lot of salt.
As I was in the stores restocking empty display trays and filling the gaping holes on their shelves, I decided to tally up everything created in the past few weeks. Altogether we sold 2,319 bags, 4,833 pouches 3,010 pounds of bulk bath salts and 6,460 pounds of Epsom salt this holiday season——all of it handmade with love and sprinkled with laughter. Not bad for a 'bunch of girls!' So thank you loyal
Expansion continues to New Leaf and Vitamin Life
California here we come! In early December, Shepard Moon expanded into northern California's 5 New Leaf Stores. New Leaf, has been affiliated with New Seasons since 2013 and operates in the San Francisco Bay Area. And while they were welcoming in more Shepard Moon, New Seasons and New Leaf brought in our new Oatmeal Baths. Soothing Oatmeal for Adults and our 2 oatmeal-based baths for kids: our ever-popular Kid's Bedtime Bath and its comforting counterpart, Shepard Moon's Soothing Oatmeal Bath for Kids.
Oatmeal baths are an incredibly effective old-time remedy for dry winter skin. And unlike other colloidal oatmeal baths on the market, Shepard Moon added the healing power of essential oils. Where else can you find these soothing baths? Well our website, of course—— but you can also find them at most Central Markets and Town & Country Markets as well as QFC's Kirkland Urban and Bellevue Village stores.
The other place you can find them both online and in their downtown Redmond location is Vitamin Life. We're honored and excited to become a part of this successful northwest favorite health and body-care supplier.
PCC Ballard
And speaking of expansion, PCC continues to grow with the opening of its brand-spanking-new Ballard location. This store is absolutely AWESOME. You wouldn't think that PCC could out-do itself after re-opening their beautiful West Seattle store, but they somehow managed to do it at Ballard. With a rooftop deck that you can dine and wine while you wait for traffic to die down, this store features its first casual dining restaurant inside the store. And of course you'll find your favorite local bath salts—-Shepard Moon! Congrats PCC and thank you (as always) for all your support over the years. Many, MANY of those tons of Epsom were created for you!
