All we get is LOVE!

2020 has taken off with a whole lotta love and support for us 'salt-slingin' gals at Shepard Moon. In fact, our looking forward to a post-holiday, back-to-normal rhythm has been postponed by an outpouring of incredible support from two of our biggest allies: Town & Country Markets and PCC Community Markets. 

'We support local' has become a common buzz-phrase over the past few years. Like most marketing claims, supporting local seems to have a range of working definitions for different companies. But thankfully we are blessed with many whose support of small, local independents like Shepard Moon, is at the very core of their mission.  

BOGO'S and Cheap Love...... 

"Our order is bigger this week because I'm stocking up for the BOGO ad."  My background as a healer means that even after 20 years of wholesaling Shepard Moon products, I'm still learning about the world of business and retail. One of my new favorite words? 'BOGO'. —— 'Buy-One-Get-One free. For those who love coupons, these are really cool. Last September---literally on our 20th anniversary,--- I opened up my mailbox and right there in my badly-in-need-of moisturizing-salt-making-hands was a PCC BOGO coupon with a picture of our 4oz bath pouch. What an incredible way to celebrate how far we've come!  So a few weeks ago, when I heard through the grapevine that another BOGO coupon was coming out, I raced to my mailbox to see what picture PCC used. As much as I would like to be more humble and mature through sharing the spotlight gracefully with other fabulous companies, I jumped up and down clenched my fist and said "'YES!!" when I saw Shepard Moon pictured again. Now THAT'S supporting LOCAL. Thanks, PCC!

Another wonderful local chain is Town & Country / Central Markets and boy are they showing us some serious LOVE right now. And cheap LOVE at that! You literally won't find better prices on our products ANYWHERE. We've been scrambling to make a ton of salts to fill beautiful end cap displays and store shelves in all six of their locally owned stores around the Puget Sound. Ballard Market (Seattle), Central Markets (Shoreline, Mill Creek and Poulsbo) and the Town & Country Markets (Bainbridge Island and Lakemont on the eastside). On behalf of Shepard Moon and other small, local independents I want to thank them with a heart filled with love. In my years of growing and learning about the retail world, I know it takes additional time and effort to work with small independents rather than larger companies who work with distributors. Small Independents like Shepard Moon would not exist without the care and support of companies like Town & Country Markets.  So thanks Nita.  We are truly grateful for all the support you've given us over the years.  

So if business practices like these are important to you, please support companies like PCC and Town & Country Markets as your 'Go-To' greater Seattle grocery stores. Your support affects so much more than their bottom-line. It keeps companies like Shepard Moon on its mission of creating peace through bathing! 

New places to find Shepard Moon products on the Olympic Peninsula! 

Last summer's Gratitude Tour took me to two awesome stores that had expressed some interest in bringing in our products: The Food Co-op in Pt Townsend and Willowtree Market on Bainbridge Island. Well, I'm super stoked and grateful to announce that both now carry Shepard Moon products. And whether you live on the peninsula or just in need of an afternoon road trip complete with a ferry ride, go check out the Food Co-op and Willowtree. They're totally worth the trip.
